As a core component of KBZ Bank Analytics centre of excellence (ACoE) team, business analyst is a role in technical stream. The role holder is accountable for supporting KBZ banks capability in the area of system of records assessment, examine existing IT systems and business models, building analytical data pipeline and infrastructure. Technical team group works hand in hand with IT department / platform vendors / merchant systems / social media platforms.

1. Liaise closely with external or internal teams.
2. Analyse banks existing IT systems and business models
3. Map and document interfaces between legacy and new systems
4. Understand software development lifecycles
5. Translate team’s requirements into highly specified project briefs
6. Identify options for potential solutions and assess them for both technical and business suitability
7. Conduct requirements analysis and prepare specific proposals for modified or replacement systems
8. Develop solutions and related products
9. Produce project feasibility
10. Work closely with analysts, bi team, data science team and a variety of end users to ensure technical compatibility and user satisfaction
11. Draw up, supervise and document testing schedules for complete systems
12. Oversee implementation of a new system including data migration
13. Support users on change control and system updates
14. Provide training and user manuals to users of a new system
15. Keep up to date with technical and industry developments.

1. 5 Years + of professional experience in supporting businesses with large and complex data legacy.
2. Degree in numerical / business stream
3. Exposure to large data transformation projects, involving system study, schema development, cloud infrastructure, db administration.

6. High-level written and verbal communication skills
7. Project management skills
8. Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
9. Knowledge of data modelling and data visualisation tools
