Job Description

  • Maintains good quality products and presentations according to company standard (i.e.) use records and recipes.
  • Follow up the usage of food production charts.
  • Maintains and responsible for the completion of the control report (i.e.) temperature checklist cleaning schedule, work order, etc.
  • Maintains food safety and protection, to include dating, proper storage and rotation, etc.
  • Assists associates to complete the job assignment in a safe and professional manner.
  • Assist in maintaining clean and sanitized food preparation areas.
  • Ensure all Associates follow all job safety regulations and all hazards are reported to Loss Prevention and Engineering.
  • Perform any reasonable request made of management which is not life threatening or against the law.

Job Requirements

  • Usually 2-4 years in a similar role or as an experienced Commis Chef
  • Culinary school diploma, NVQ/SVQ Level 2 or 3, or equivalent professional cookery certification.
  • In-depth knowledge of cooking methods, knife skills, and ability to manage a specific station (e.g., sauces, fish, grill).
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations (HACCP).
