International Enterprise Singapore is a statutory board under the Singapore Ministry of Trade and Industry. Our Yangon Overseas Centre is also the Commercial Section of the Singapore Embassy. Our functions are to facilitate investments and business development efforts and to promote international trade.

You will play a key role as the in-market expert to help Singapore companies expand their businesses into Myanmar, to navigate the local regulatory frameworks and business norms and develop opportunities for collaboration.

You will monitor the business and current affairs environments and provide market intelligence including identifying key growth and investment opportunities and developing a strong project pipeline by pursuing projects in focus sectors.

Research work and news updates will also be part of the regular routine. You will establish, maintain and cultivate strategic contacts and partnerships to help grow businesses and do business matching.

You will also provide in-market facilitation and support for market development missions and visits by Singapore delegations. When ready, you will be expected to independently surface leads and take on business development trips within Myanmar, outside of Yangon.

You may also be required to organise in-market events from time-to-time on an ad-hoc basis.

Only experienced candidates will be considered. You should have a recognized good degree, preferably with at least four years of experience in business development, research and consulting or in a foreign NGO or embassy on the trade side. Fresh graduates with work experience in Singapore or familiarity with Singapore companies and excellent English skills may also be considered.


You should be independent, mature, resourceful, and able to multi-task and take ownership of your duties. Strong teamwork is also emphasized as we are a small team.
A confident presenter with strong written and oral communication and interpersonal skills, you should have a strong command of English and Burmese. Humility and eagerness to learn and improve are desirable traits.


Occasional travel within Myanmar may be required.
