ROLE PURPOSE

The Executive Vice President – Products is responsible for the strategic direction, development, management and profitability of the Bank’s end-to-end product portfolio. The role ensures that the Bank’s products remain customer-centric, commercially viable, and aligned with the Bank’s overall business strategy, portfolio growth, and market positioning while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and the Bank’s risk management framework. As a leader, the role fosters a culture of innovation, accountability, continuous improvement, and customer focus, while building high-performing teams capable of delivering the Bank’s long-term strategic objectives.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Product Strategy & Portfolio Management

• Develop and execute the Bank’s product strategy aligned with business objectives and market opportunities.
• Manage the end-to-end lifecycle of products including but not limited to deposit, lending, and digital channel products.
• Monitor product performance, profitability, market share and customer adoption.
• Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify product enhancement opportunities.
• Establish product roadmaps and prioritize initiatives based on strategic impact and customer needs.

Product Development & Innovation

• Lead product ideation, business case development, approval, implementation, and post-launch reviews.
• Work in partnership with cross-functional stakeholders to deliver new products and enhancements.
• Promote customer-centric design and innovation practices.
• Identify emerging market trends, technologies, and customer needs.

Governance, Risk & Compliance

• Ensure all products comply with Central Bank regulations, internal policies, and applicable laws.
• Maintain robust product governance and approval processes.
• Assess and mitigate product-related risks.
• Support audits, regulatory reviews, and compliance assessments.

Stakeholder Management & Reporting

• Develop and maintain strong partnerships with key internal stakeholders to ensure effective product development, implementation, and lifecycle management.
• Collaborate with senior management and governance committees by presenting product strategies, business cases, portfolio performance, market insights, and investment proposals to support informed decision-making and strategic direction.
• Foster effective engagement with external stakeholders, including regulators, strategic partners, fintech companies, payment networks, vendor and service providers, to identify collaboration opportunities, drive innovation, and enhance product capabilities.
• Ensure timely and accurate reporting of product portfolio performance, key business metrics, financial results, customer insights, and strategic initiatives to executive management and board if relevant.
• Build a collaborative stakeholder management culture that aligns cross-functional teams around shared business objectives, customer outcomes, and successful product delivery.

Education & Special Training                 

Essential 

• Bachelor’s degree holder
• Proven track record of developing and launching successful products and services

Desirable

• Master’s degree or professional qualification preferred
• Certified Scrum Master or Product Manager
• Knowledge of industry trends and best practices in financial services

Experience

• Minimum 10-15 years of banking experience, including significant experience in product management
• Proven experience managing products including but not limited to deposit, lending, and digital banking products.
• Strong understanding of banking operations, risk management, and regulatory requirements.
• Experience leading cross-functional projects and teams.

Languages

• Proficiency in English (written and spoken)
• Proficiency in an additional regional language (e.g., Chinese or Thai) would be an advantage for engaging with international partners
