Job Description
Position Title: Finance Executive
Department: Finance
Location: Yangon, Myanmar
Reports to: GM/Founder
Salary Range: 700,000 – 1,000,000 MMK per month (based on experience and performance)
Summary (Read This First)
The Finance Executive is a leadership role responsible for managing Elevate Education’s financial operations and supervising the Finance Assistant. This role demands someone who can ensure accurate financial reporting, strong tax compliance, disciplined cash flow management, and timely collections from international partners.
As a leader, the Finance Executive must also maintain good relationships with all employees, ensuring finance is seen as a supportive partner in the business, not just a back-office function.
Job Purpose
To oversee all financial operations — including accurate recordkeeping, budget and cash flow management, tax compliance, and timely invoicing — while supporting the company’s growth through disciplined financial management and leadership.
Key Responsibilities & KPIs

Financial Recordkeeping & Reporting

Maintain accurate financial records using cash-basis accounting.

KPI: 100% accuracy in monthly financial reports, with zero unresolved discrepancies.

KPI: Submit monthly and quarterly financial reports to senior management within 7 working days after period end.

Tax Compliance

Cash Flow & Budget Management

Oversee accounts payable and receivable to maintain healthy cash flow.

KPI: Maintain a minimum 3 months’ operating cash buffer.

KPI: Keep actual spending within ±5% variance of approved budgets.

Invoicing & Payment Collection

Issue invoices to partner universities and education providers.

KPI: 100% invoices sent within 3 working days of service delivery.

KPI: Ensure 90% of receivables are collected within agreed terms (30–45 days).

Partner & Stakeholder Coordination

Leadership & Supervision

Audit & Risk Management

Prepare records for internal/external audits.

KPI: Achieve zero major audit findings in annual reviews.

Identify financial risks and recommend solutions to management.

Cross-Departmental Support

Build strong working relationships with other teams (student services, marketing, operations).

KPI: Achieve 90%+ internal satisfaction rating from staff feedback on finance responsiveness.
Salary & Benefits

Working Hours

Monday to Friday: 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM.
