Job Description

Review monthly, quarterly, annual financial statements and other management reports to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with applicable accounting standards.
Analyze costs, pricing, variable contributions, sales results and the company’s actual performance compared to the business plans along with assessing financial risks.
Advise on investment activities and provide strategies that the company should take.
Review and consolidate departmental budgets and prepare the overall company budget to be maintained the financial health of the organization.
Monitor budget performance and ensure spending remains within approved budgets.
Conduct reviews and evaluations for cost-reduction opportunities by identifying ways for the organization to cut costs and increase profits.
Enforcing policies and procedures that keep the company in compliance with financial regulations.
Liase with auditors to ensure appropriate monitoring of company finances is maintained. Review audit findings and coordinate the implementation of appropriate corrective actions.
Ensure timely preparation and submission of statutory financial reports and tax-related requirements.
Keep up to date with changes in applicable accounting, tax, and financial regulations.
Correspond with various other departments, discussing company plans and agreeing on future paths to be taken.

Job Requirements

B. Com / B. Act degree in Finance or Accounting
Professional qualification such as completed of CPA or ACCA Part-2
Proven experience as a Financial Manager.
Experience in the financial sector with previous possible roles preferebly executive level.
Extensive understanding of financial trends both within the company and general market patterns, a deep understanding of financial reporting standards and experience preparing or reviewing financial statements.
Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting standards, financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis skills, and knowledge of cash flow forecasting and financial modeling.
Proficiency in finance and accounting software and ERP systems.
Familiarity with financial regulations, tax laws and compliance standards relevant to trading industry.
Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills, strong in negotiation and communication skills for resolving cross-functional budget or spending conflicts.
Able to manage, guide and lead employees to ensure appropriate financial processes are being used.
A solid understanding of financial statistics and accounting principles.
Working knowledge of all statutory legislation and regulations.
