Job Summary
Royal Taunggyi Hotel is seeking an experienced and dedicated Housekeeping Manager to oversee our housekeeping and laundry operations. The ideal candidate will ensure that guest rooms, public areas, and facilities meet the highest standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and safety.
Key Responsibilities (Job Description)

• Operations & Leadership: Supervise daily operations of the housekeeping and laundry staff, prepare work schedules (rosters), and manage team performance.
• Standards & Hygiene: Maintain strict cleanliness, orderliness, and safety standards across all guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house facilities.
• Inventory Control: Manage inventory for guest amenities, linens, towels, and cleaning supplies; conduct monthly stock counts and coordinate reorders.
• Laundry Management: Oversee laundry processes, equipment maintenance, and the safe, efficient usage of laundry chemicals.
• Training & Development: Train new and existing staff on cleaning techniques, chemical safety, equipment handling, and customer service.
• Cross-Department Coordination: Work closely with the Front Office for room readiness and the Engineering/Maintenance team for repairs.
• Reporting: Prepare regular management reports regarding department expenses, inventory stock, and operational issues.

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in any discipline (Diploma or Degree in Hospitality Management is a plus).
• Experience: Minimum of 3 years of proven experience as a Housekeeping Manager in the hotel industry.
• Technical Expertise: Deep understanding of cleaning standards, hygiene & safety procedures, and laundry chemical usage.
• Inventory Skills: Strong capability in managing inventory and housekeeping supplies.
• Computer Skills: Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Hotel Property Management Systems (PMS).
• Leadership & Personality: Strong leadership, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
