Job Summary

The Junior M&E Engineer assists in the operation, maintenance, inspection, and repair of mechanical and electrical systems within the property. The role supports the engineering team in ensuring all building services operate safely, efficiently, and in compliance with applicable regulations and company standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the operation and maintenance of all mechanical and electrical building systems.
  • Conduct routine inspections of electrical, HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, generator, lift, and water supply systems.
  • Support the implementation of preventive and corrective maintenance programs.
  • Monitor equipment performance and report abnormalities to the Senior Engineer.
  • Coordinate with technicians and contractors during maintenance and repair works.
  • Supervise contractors to ensure work is completed safely and according to specifications.
  • Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns and emergency maintenance issues.
  • Maintain maintenance records, inspection reports, and equipment logs.
  • Assist in preparing maintenance schedules and engineering reports.
  • Ensure compliance with safety procedures, local regulations, and company policies.
  • Participate in energy-saving initiatives and continuous improvement projects.
  • Assist in testing and commissioning newly installed equipment.
  • Support budgeting by monitoring maintenance materials and spare parts inventory.
  • Perform other engineering duties assigned by management.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
  • One to two years of relevant experience in building maintenance or property management is an advantage.
  • Basic knowledge of building mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Ability to read engineering drawings and technical documents.
  • Good troubleshooting and analytical skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Good organizational and time management abilities.
