Review health related medical claim documents and provide professional comments for further claim processing
Accurately assist medical underwriting including health and critical illness products by assessing the risks according to company guidelines and regulations
Perform other duties and responsibilities periodically assigned by supervisor/ manager in order to meet business requirements
Evaluate an insured’s medical history or physical condition, occupational hazards, and other health related information to determine whether to accept, modify or decline a risk.
Collaborate with the field force or other functions of KBZMS to gather information for decision-making.
Manage routine daily administration work.
Coordinate workflow & meet deadlines.
Interview and communicate with claimants, witnesses, physicians and other necessary individuals to decide claim denial, settlement or review.
Examine medical treatment records and medical bills to determine overall extent of liability.
Adhere to align with all company policies, procedures and guidelines in addition to insurance regulations from IBRB.
Reject or accept documentation, determine benefit due, and start the denial or payment process to resolve medical claims.
Support general assistance with employee health related matters, medical check-up etc if required and also to KBZMS Covid Committee

Job Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in medicine, M.B.B.S
Currently holding the Official General Medical License with registration number.
Insurance or Financial related qualifications for underwriter role is highly preferred
Command in English, both verbal and written are preferred.
Minimum 5 years of experience in ground operation or any relevant medical background
Adaptable, be able to manage complexity as well as competing demands
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Customer oriented, self-motivated, proficient in Microsoft Office
Basic understanding of insurance product features and design
