Key Responsibilities
A. Livestock Management (Core Responsibility)
Oversee daily care of all livestock including feeding, watering, bedding, breeding, health checks.
Ensure all animal welfare standards and hygiene protocols are strictly followed.
Monitor herd performance KPIs:
Milk yield per cow
Reproductive efficiency (heat detection, conception rate)
Mortality & morbidity rates
Calf growth rates
Work closely with veterinary teams to implement vaccination plans, disease prevention programs, and treatment protocols.
Manage cow groups: milking, dry cows, heifers, calves, breeding cows.
Ensure accurate livestock data recording (milk production, breeding data, weight records).
B. Dairy & Milking Operations
Oversee milking parlor operations—schedule, hygiene, equipment sanitization.
Ensure proper milking procedures to reduce mastitis and improve milk quality.
Monitor milk yield daily and take action for performance improvement.
Ensure milk is stored, chilled, transported according to standards.
Implement milk quality control policies (fat %, SNF, bacterial count, SCC).
C. Feed & Nutrition Management (Agriculture Operations)
Plan annual feed requirements for all 3,000 cows including forage, silage, concentrate.
Manage fodder cultivation: corn, alfalfa, Napier, maize, hay, etc.
Monitor feed inventory, ration formulation, feed mixing schedule.
Work with nutritionist to create balanced feed rations for each cow group.
Oversee silage production, storage, fermentation, and usage control.
Reduce feed wastage and ensure 100% feeding schedule accuracy.
D. Breeding & Reproduction Management
Oversee Artificial Insemination (AI) activities and natural breeding program.
Track heat detection, pregnancy checks, calving schedules.
Ensure genetic improvement plans (bull selection, semen selection).
Plan calf and heifer growth programs ensuring future milk production.
E. Veterinary Health & Biosecurity
Maintain strong disease control programs and implement farm entry/exit biosecurity rules.
Ensure vaccination schedules for calves, heifers, and cows.
Monitor health records, sick cow management, and emergency cases.
Maintain veterinary medicine stock and ensure proper administration.
Conduct weekly herd health meetings with the vet team.
F. Environmental Safety & Waste Management
Ensure environmental safety practices for manure handling, dung composting, wastewater management.
Maintain compliance with environmental regulations in Myanmar.
Oversee odor control, farm cleanliness, and worker safety.
Supervise manure-to-fertilizer or biogas operation if applicable.
Ensure all farm operations follow environmental sustainability standards.
G. Farm Infrastructure, Equipment & Maintenance
Oversee maintenance of all farm machinery: tractors, loaders, pumps, generators.
Ensure regular service of milking parlor equipment.
Monitor ventilation systems, water supply, fencing, lighting, drainage.
Maintain farm buildings, calf pens, feeding barns, silos.
Coordinate with engineering team for urgent repairs.
H. Warehouse, Inventory & Procurement Management
Monitor all farm inventory—feed stock, medicine, equipment, consumables.
Approve monthly purchase requests and coordinate with procurement.
Ensure proper stock rotation (FIFO/LIFO).
Prevent stock losses, theft, and wastage.
I. HR, Staffing & Training
Supervise farm staff across shifts (150–250 persons depending on operation size).
Assign tasks and schedule daily, weekly, monthly working rosters.
Train workers on milking, feeding, cleaning, safety, animal handling.
Monitor employee performance & discipline.
Ensure strong coordination with HR Office in Taunggyi/Yangon.
J. Planning, Reporting & Compliance
Prepare daily, weekly, monthly operational reports.
Update production KPIs:
Feed cost per liter
Milk yield per cow
Calving intervals
Mortality rates
Prepare farm budget, capex planning, and forecast milk output.
Ensure compliance with government rules related to livestock & environment.
Attend management meetings and provide operational insights.
