We are seeking an experienced and strategic Principal Business Analyst to lead business analysis practices across our diverse portfolio of businesses. Working closely with business leaders, Project Managers, Solution Architects, and technology teams, this role will drive complex requirements analysis, business process optimization, and solution alignment to ensure technology initiatives deliver measurable business value.
The Principal Business Analyst will establish analysis standards, guide and mentor Business Analysts, and act as a trusted advisor to business stakeholders, translating complex business challenges into scalable, effective, and value-driven digital solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Business Analysis Leadership & Requirements Management
- Lead business analysis for complex, cross-functional, and enterprise-level initiatives, ensuring business needs are clearly defined and translated into actionable requirements.
- Establish and maintain standards for BRD, FRD, user stories, process flows, acceptance criteria, and other BA deliverables.
- Oversee requirements traceability, scope alignment, and change impact analysis throughout the project lifecycle.
Business Process Optimization & Value Realization
- Lead business process assessment and re-engineering initiatives to identify operational inefficiencies, automation opportunities, and digital transformation potential.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to define business objectives, success criteria, KPIs, and measurable expected outcomes.
- Ensure proposed solutions align with business strategies, operational needs, and enterprise-wide objectives.
Stakeholder Advisory & Solution Alignment
- Act as a strategic liaison between business leadership, Project Managers, Solution Architects, technology teams, and external vendors.
- Facilitate complex stakeholder discussions, resolve requirement conflicts, challenge assumptions, and drive consensus on business priorities.
- Ensure business requirements are translated into feasible, scalable solutions aligned with business and technology objectives.
Solution Validation & Quality Assurance
- Oversee requirements validation, test scenario development, UAT coordination, and business acceptance for critical initiatives.
- Ensure solutions meet approved requirements, business expectations, and applicable compliance standards.
- Drive post-implementation reviews to evaluate business outcomes, identify gaps, and recommend improvements.
BA Capability Development & Governance
- Coach and mentor Business Analysts, review the quality of their deliverables, and promote consistent analysis practices across the department.
- Develop and improve BA methodologies, templates, guidelines, and quality assurance practices.
- Promote continuous improvement, data-driven decision-making, and effective collaboration between business and technology teams.
