Key Responsibilities:
Procurement Planning & Strategy
1. Develop and execute procurement strategies aligned with project budgets and timelines.
Plan material requirements based on project schedules and coordinate with Project Managers and Engineers.
Evaluate and forecast procurement needs for ongoing and upcoming projects.
2. Vendor Management
Identify, evaluate, and qualify suppliers, subcontractors, and service providers.
Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with suppliers to achieve cost savings.
Maintain and update an approved vendor database with performance evaluations.
Establish long-term relationships with key suppliers for critical materials.
3. Material Sourcing & Purchasing
Prepare and process purchase requisitions and purchase orders.
Ensure timely procurement and delivery of construction materials, tools, and equipment.
Coordinate logistics for transportation, customs clearance, and warehouse receiving.
Ensure materials meet required specifications and quality standards.
4. Cost Control & Budgeting
Monitor procurement costs to align with project budgets.
Review and analyze price proposals and financial reports for cost efficiency.
Prepare cost comparison sheets and recommend best-value options.
5. Compliance & Documentation
Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies and legal regulations.
Maintain accurate procurement documentation, contracts, and supplier records.
Support internal and external audits with procurement-related data.
6. Cross-Department Coordination
Collaborate with Project Managers, Engineers, and Finance teams to align procurement activities with project needs.
Coordinate with the Warehouse team for stock level management and delivery schedules.
Provide regular procurement reports to management on status, risks, and cost performance.
7. Team Management
Supervise and guide the procurement team to achieve department objectives.
Conduct training and performance evaluations for procurement staff.
Ensure strong communication, integrity, and professional discipline across the team.
