Key Responsibilities:

1.Material Sourcing and Procurement:

  • Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers for materials and equipment based on quality, cost, and delivery timelines.
  • Negotiate contracts, terms, and conditions with suppliers to ensure favorable pricing and compliance with company policies.
  • Develop and maintain a reliable supplier base to support ongoing and future projects.

2. Technical Evaluation:

  • Analyze material specifications and technical requirements provided by engineering teams.
  • Conduct material testing and validation to ensure compliance with project standards and regulations.
  • Collaborate with quality assurance teams to resolve any material-related issues.

3. Cost Optimization:

  • Monitor market trends and pricing to identify cost-saving opportunities.
  • Prepare cost analysis reports and present recommendations to management.
  • Implement strategies to reduce procurement costs without compromising quality.

4.Supplier Relationship Management:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure reliable and timely
  • delivery of materials.
  • Conduct regular supplier performance evaluations and address any issues proactively.

5. Documentation and Compliance:

  • Maintain accurate records of procurement activities, including purchase orders, contracts, and supplier communications.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, industry standards, and legal regulations.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Material Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience (5+ years) in procurement, supply chain management, or material engineering, preferably in construction industry.
  • Strong knowledge of material properties, manufacturing processes, and industry standards.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to analyze technical specifications and interpret engineering drawings.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
