Position Purpose
Mitigate regulatory and reputational risks that may impede business operations and growth (to ensure fair and equal treatment) through proactive engagement of stakeholders.
Build trust amongst stakeholders including the communities, local and muncipal governements and civil society organization in where BIG operates in and connect across to sulpply and distribute.
Key Duties / Responsibilities
Strategic Engagement – Stakeholder Engagement
- Collaborate in the design of the stakeholder engagement strategy and develop locally relevant plans aligned to objectives
- Develop stakeholder lists and relationship management POC for markets
- Lead and drive the engagement plan across the local business with local leadership, including the strategic guiding of positioning/messaging
- Implement the relevant metrics/control processes to monitor progress and report accordingly
- Ensure stakeholder engagement schedules are maintained are appropriately documented
Strategic Engagement – Corporate Affairs
- Design, develop and deploy engagement plans tailored to country’s business objectives, including building trust amongst key segments
- Ensure execution is aligned to key positioning and messaging (incl. narrative) of the local system and business
- Manage roll-out of plans to hit pre-aligned measurement objectives
- Strategically guide the company brand experience for stakeholders, within and outside of plant
- Lead and partner other functions to develop and share relevant content across relevant channels
Regulatory and Reputation – Risk Mitigation and Management
- Partner with group/hub to identify relevant local risks
- Collaborate to design and develop plan to mitigate and manage risks to business operations
- Align local leadership teams to strategy and plan
- Monitor regulatory landscape to manage risks and share insights
- Implement risk management plans
- Participate in network sharing with group/hub for continuous improvements
- Lead local IMCR process – and strategically partner business to manage crisis and issues
COMMUNICATION COMPLEXITIES
- Internal – Senior Leadership Team / Cross-function: Understand the strategies, business operations and SLT directive to be able to designs relevant strategies to support and protect the business goals and vision
- External – Government agencies, Media, partnerships, 3rd party provider: Connects with local experts or government bodies in the market that require the development of strategies to solve strategic engagement challenges or understand regulatory policies and legislations
ANALYSIS
- This role will require strong anaylytical skills, to evalyate information and data received from market teams on regylatory risks, and provide keen strategic counsel on mitigating risks.
- Some strong statistical foundation is also required to be able to study and evaluate data from sentiment analysis, and support and reference scientific based artuments for engagement dialogue.
Judgment and Decision Making
- The vendor selection decision making for CSR and PR related activities
- Publicing of internal information
- Responding to external stake holders on Brand related quieries
Involvement in Bus. Planning
- Defines People strategies as part of the People Leadership Team
- Defines specific labor and employee relations strategies
- Drives the Diversity & Inclusion intiatives of the company
- Develops preventive and corrective health strategies
- Drives the future of work planning
Innovation
Develop strategic engagement guidance and planning process for risk management and mitigation for the market, Implement system process and cadence of ongoing assessment and management on engagement.
