ROLE PURPOSE  

We are looking for a Card Billing Officer to update and maintain information on our Card Management systems. 

As a Cards Billing Officer, you will play a critical role in maintaining the financial accuracy and integrity of card transactions within the organization. Your attention to detail, analytical skills, and commitment to regulatory compliance will contribute to the overall financial health of the company. By identifying and resolving discrepancies, you will help ensure a seamless and transparent card billing experience for customers while mitigating financial risks for the organization. 

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES  

• To ensure accurate and timely reconciliation of financial transactions related to credit and debit card activities. 
• Review and reconcile credit and debit card transactions, comparing data from multiple sources such as bank statements, cards association reports, and internal systems. 
• Monitor the accuracy of card billing statements generated for customers. Ensure that fees, interest charges, and other billing components are correctly calculated and reflected in the statements. 
• Updated with cards association regulations and bank policies related to card transactions, billing, and reconciliation. 
• Provide documentation for audits and compliance purposes. 
• Collaborate with internal teams, external partners, and vendors to address reconciliation issues and clarify transaction details. 
• Generate reports, store completed work in designated locations and perform backup operations. 
• Keep information confidential and not share with anyone except internal bank on a need to basis only. 
• Respond to queries for information and access relevant files. 
• Comply with data integrity and security policies. 
• Ensure proper use of office equipment and address any malfunctions. 
• Backup for other functions and tasks when necessary 

Education & Special Training  

Essential 

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field 

Experience 

Essential 

• Proven experience in financial reconciliation, preferably within the credit/debit card industry or banking sector 

• Strong analytical skills with an eye for detail to identify discrepancies.  

• Knowledge of accounting principles and financial regulations 

• Proficiency in using financial software, spreadsheets, and database applications.
