ROLE PURPOSE 

To manage, oversee and own the overall responsibility of the day-to-day Treasury operation back-office activities. 

RESPONSIBILITIES 

• Ensure treasury operational functions, Nostro account reconciliation, NOP calculation, Reserve Requirement Ratio calculation, cash positioning and liquidity forecasting, FX and investment transaction deal confirmation, documentation and settlement are carried out as per defined SOP and SLAs 

• Develop, update, implement and maintain effective control environment/segregation of duties and efficient processes and procedures 

• Prepare regular and on-demand reports for internal/external stakeholders and analysis for effective monitoring and control on Net Open Position, Reserve Requirement Ratio etc..  

• Institute an escalation mechanism to flag exceptions. 

• Coordinate management response to audit and own follow up action plan to implement needed measures to be more effective and robust from operation, control and risk perspectives 

• Address and resolve team members’ questions and issues and oversee the team member work for quality and guideline compliance. 

• Ensure compliance with regulatory and Bank’s policies, procedures and standards with prompt intervention to resolve problems/ concern areas when needed. 

• Develop strategies to promote team member adherence to laws, regulations, code of conduct, best practices, and performance goals (KPI, SLA), motivate team members and assess performance. 

• Lead the team with a growth mindset for the continuous improvements of the individual team members, processes, and practice with a strategic view for the bank’s vision and mission. 

• Act as coach and role model for professionalism and teamwork, and support team members’ professional growth 

• Perform other duties as assigned from time to time.

Education & Special Training 

Essential 

• Bachelor of Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, Management, Commerce, and/or industry specific qualifications 

• High competency in MS Office – Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook 

• Technical and process knowledge of complex practices and procedures of treasury operation, treasury products, dealings, and transactions 

Desirable 

• CIMA, ACCA or equivalent 

• Finastra and Opics

Experience

Essential 

• Minimum 3 years of experience in banking or in financial institutions 

Desirable 

• Experience in Myanmar Banking sector is a plus 

Language

• Sound and effective interpersonal & communication skills in both Myanmar and English languages
