Job Description

A Fantastic Opportunity for ...

1. Cost Planning & Estimation

  • Prepare detailed cost estimates, BOQs (Bill of Quantities), and cost plans for road and bridge projects.
  • Conduct quantity take-offs from drawings and specifications.
  • Analyze tender documents, drawings, and technical specifications.
  • Assist in preparing tender submissions and commercial proposals.

2. Contract Management

  • Review and interpret contract documents (e.g., FIDIC or equivalent).
  • Manage contract variations, claims, and change orders.
  • Prepare and evaluate variation orders and extension of time claims.
  • Ensure contractual compliance and risk mitigation.

3. Cost Control & Financial Management

  • Monitor project budgets and cash flow forecasts.
  • Prepare monthly valuations, interim payment certificates, and final accounts.
  • Track project expenditures and ensure cost efficiency.
  • Conduct cost analysis and provide financial reporting to management.

4. Subcontractor & Supplier Management

  • Prepare subcontract agreements and negotiate commercial terms.
  • Evaluate subcontractor quotations and payment applications.
  • Monitor subcontractor performance and cost variations.

5. Measurement & Valuation

  • Measure completed works at site in accordance with drawings and specifications.
  • Certify work progress for payment purposes.
  • Prepare and finalize project accounts upon completion.

6. Risk Management

  • Identify potential commercial and contractual risks.
  • Provide strategic advice to minimize financial exposure.
  • Support dispute resolution processes when required.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum 8–12 years of experience in road and bridge construction projects.
  • Strong knowledge of infrastructure construction methods, materials, and cost control practices.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft office and Quantity Surveying calculations.
  • Strong analytical, negotiation, and reporting skills.
  • Detail-oriented and analytical.
  • Strong communication and coordination skills
