Position Summary
The Site Engineer (Civil) is responsible for supervising and coordinating daily construction activities on-site, ensuring all works are executed in accordance with approved drawings, technical specifications, project schedules, quality standards, and safety regulations. The role serves as the primary technical representative on-site, coordinating with contractors, subcontractors, consultants, and project stakeholders to ensure efficient project execution.
Key Responsibilities

  • Site Supervision
  • Supervise and monitor daily construction activities to ensure work is carried out according to approved drawings and specifications.
  • Coordinate and direct site operations, subcontractors, and labor teams.
  • Ensure construction activities comply with project schedules and quality standards.
  • Verify site layouts, setting out, dimensions, and levels before construction.
  • Monitor workmanship and productivity to achieve project milestones.
  • Report daily site progress to the Project Engineer or Project Manager.
  • Construction Management
  • Execute construction activities in accordance with project plans and engineering standards.
  • Review construction drawings and resolve technical issues on-site.
  • Coordinate with consultants and contractors for inspections and approvals.
  • Ensure proper utilization of labor, materials, and equipment.
  • Monitor construction sequences to minimize delays.
  • Quality Control
  • Inspect ongoing works to ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and quality requirements.
  • Coordinate with the QA/QC team for inspections and testing.
  • Monitor concrete works, reinforcement, formwork, masonry, finishing, and structural works.
  • Identify defects and ensure corrective actions are completed promptly.
  • Maintain inspection records and quality documentation.
  • Health, Safety & Environment (HSE)
  • Ensure all construction activities comply with company HSE policies and legal requirements.
  • Conduct daily safety briefings and toolbox meetings with site personnel.
  • Monitor site safety practices and ensure the proper use of PPE.
  • Report unsafe conditions, incidents, and near misses immediately.
  • Support implementation of corrective and preventive safety measures.
  • Material & Resource Management
  • Verify material deliveries and ensure compliance with approved specifications.
  • Monitor material consumption and minimize wastage.
  • Coordinate with the Procurement Department to ensure timely material availability.
  • Check storage conditions for construction materials.
  • Monitor equipment utilization and report maintenance requirements.
  • Documentation & Reporting
  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly site progress reports.
  • Maintain site diaries, inspection records, and work logs.
  • Record weather conditions, manpower, equipment, and work completed.
  • Assist in preparing Requests for Information (RFIs), method statements, and technical reports.
  • Maintain updated as-built records and drawings.
  • Coordination
  • Coordinate with Project Engineers, Planning Engineers, Quantity Surveyors, QA/QC Engineers, and MEP Engineers.
  • Liaise with consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, and client representatives.
  • Attend project coordination meetings and provide progress updates.
  • Resolve day-to-day construction issues promptly.
  • Cost & Schedule Control
  • Monitor work progress against approved schedules.
  • Report delays and recommend corrective actions.
  • Assist in controlling project costs through efficient resource utilization.
  • Support quantity verification for progress claims and variations.

Job Requirements

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering.
  • Registered Professional Engineer (preferred).
  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in building construction or infrastructure projects.
  • Experience in high-rise buildings, commercial projects, industrial facilities, or luxury residential developments is preferred.
