Role Purpose

Yoma Bank’s Treasury & FI Department is looking for a highly motivated and skilled Assistant Manager for Money Market & Fund Management team. This position will play a key role in managing the bank’s liquidity, financial risks, and regulatory compliance, while supporting the efficiency and effectiveness of treasury operations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Treasury & Fund Management: Assist in daily liquidity management, including analyzing cash flows and funding requirements. Support money market dealings, investment and portfolio management. Monitor interest rate movements and support treasury managers in strategic initiatives and process improvements.
• Cash & Liquidity Management: Review and report on cash positions, manage bank accounts and cash flow forecasts. Track liquidity exposure to both local and foreign currencies; ensuring accuracy and timely reporting.
• Reporting & Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with the Central Bank regulations, internal policies, and exposure limits. Prepare the ALM reports and dashboards.
• Risk and Liquidity Management: Oversee and manage the bank’s liquidity position, identifying and mitigating financial risks associated with treasury operations.
• Financial Statement Review: Review and analyze financial statements from external financial institutions, evaluating their impact on the bank’s strategy and risk profile.

Other responsibilities

• Assist in testing and implementing treasury system upgrades to ensure smooth integration and operational efficiency.
• Develop and maintain excellent communication with other financial institutions and proactively engage with counterparties for money market related negotiation and execution.
• Coordinate with back office for settlement of treasury transactions.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders and the management.
• Prepare and maintain necessary documentation for auditing and compliance purposes, ensuring all records are accurate and up to date.
• Provide guidance and support to subordinates, fostering their professional growth and enhancing team performance.
• Ad hoc tasks assigned by the seniors.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED

Education & Special Training

• Minimum bachelor’s degree preferably in Finance, Economics, Commerce, or related field
• Strong understanding of treasury products, money markets, fixed-income instruments, and hedging strategies.

Experience

• Minimum 4 years of proven track record and relevant work experiences in Treasury, Fund Management or Financial Service Industry.

Knowledge & Skills

Essential

• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft office, particularly Excel, Power Point, Word, and Power BI
• Good technical skills, market & product knowledge and capable of responding to change in both the working and market environment.

Desirable

• Knowledge of Treasury system, CBM net system and banking regulations.
• Knowledge and experiences in international trading platform (e.g., Refinitiv).
• Analytical and numerical skills.
• Attention to detail, accuracy and strong documentation skills.

Languages

• Excellent communication (written and verbal), analytical and interpersonal skills in both Myanmar and English.
