Job Description

A Good Opportunity for ..

  • Manage the preparation and filing of all tax returns (Corporate Income tax, Commercial tax, Specific Goods tax, PAYE and WHT) and other regulatory filings.
  • Review tax returns for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with applicable laws./Stay updated on changes in tax laws and accounting standards (IAS/IFRS)
  • Check and ensure timely submission of all tax filings (Quarterly and annual returns) and payments (monthly and quarterly)/Cooperate with external auditors and tax consultants as needed
  • Produce accurate Tax Financial Statements within required timelines./Provide training and guidance on tax compliance processes./Supervise and develop junior tax staff.
  • Maintain documentation required for tax audits and assessments in accordance with tax laws./Conduct follow-up audit to monitor corrective actions and management interventions
  • Ensure proper record-keeping in accordance with legal requirements./Lead and manage tax audits preparation and inquiries from tax authorities.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Tax, or related field.
  • CPA, ACCA or Master’s Degree strongly preferred.
  • 5–8+ years of tax experience (in group company accounting and Myanmar tax laws).
  • Strong knowledge of local (Myanmar) tax laws and international taxation (if applicable).
  • Experience with software (SAP, SQL,) is preferable.
