Job Description

A Fantastic Opportunity for ...

General Responsibilities 

  • Being the primary point of contact and responsibility for daily operations and activity of the project 

  • Prepare, update and share program / schedules including Weekly Schedule and monthly updates 

  • Oversee and direct projects from conception to completion 

  • Review the project in-depth to schedule deliverables and estimate costs 

  • Oversee all onsite and offsite constructions to monitor compliance with building and safety regulations 

  • Coordinate and cooperate with consultants, client, authorities, contractors and designers. 

  • Coordinate and direct Sub-Contractors, Suppliers and workers on a daily and weekly basis 

  • Link with EHS and QA/QC staff at a working (site based) level 

  • Review the progress of works on and off site on a daily basis 

  • Prepare and issue internal and external reports pertaining to progress of works including Daily Reports, Weekly Reports, Manpower, Equipment and progress of key / critical trades 

  • Plan works ahead (both on and off-site) to prevent problems and resolve any emerging ones. 

  • Assist with the negotiation with developers, clients, designers, contractors in terms of construction, planning and time.  

  • Provide input into draft contracts to ensure constructability, sequence of works and time have been appropriately allowed for 

  • Assist to ensure that sufficient responsibility and clarity for EHS, QA/QC and suitability of materials and Specifications have been procured prior to entering into the Contract 

  • Assist the Project Manager/Project Director in obtaining approvals, permits and licenses 

  • Analyze, manage and mitigate risks in terms of physical work on site 

  • Ensure quality and appropriate construction standards and techniques and the use of proper construction techniques. Lead project coordination meetings, other forms of communication and coordinate the technical aspects of the project 

 

Project Management 

  • Plan a project and oversees the progress along the way in a timely and cost-effective manner. 

  • Being responsible for budgeting, organization, implementation and scheduling of the projects 

  • Being accountable for the quality of a project 

  • Being accountable for the completion of a construction project on time 

  • Being accountable for creating and implementing innovative solutions to problems and improvement of existing methods of workings of a project 

  • Proactively and consistently build relationships and a sense of team and teamwork in terms of site-based staff and management 

  • Proactively implement a learning culture within the project management, site management, Contractors and workers 

 

Other Responsibilities 

  • From time to time, you will be expected to be part of special projects and additional duties as are reasonably required of your job, in order to maintain, promote, develop and expand the business of our estate and its interests

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor degree in electrical or mechanical or electronics or mechatronics engineering. 

  • In-depth Understanding of all facets of the construction process. 

  • Strong Knowledge and experience on project management processes, means and methods. 

  • Proven working experience in utility & infrastructure industry. 

  • Knowledge and experience on planning, budgeting, scheduling, construction details and relevant rules, regulations and quality standards. 

  • Knowledge and experience on master plan, development planning and execution. 

  • Ability to plan in the short term and see the bigger picture in the mid and long terms. 

  • Competent in conflict and crisis management with Sub-Contractors and site staff. 

  • Good working knowledge of MS Office software and auto cad.
