Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Head of Architecture to lead the Architecture stream within our Telecom IT Design and Delivery division. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in architectural design and implementation within the telecom industry, a strong leadership background, and the ability to align architectural strategies with business objectives. This role will involve managing a team of architects, collaborating with other streams, and ensuring the successful integration of architectural frameworks across projects.
This role focuses on driving the architectural vision and strategic direction of IT within the telecom, digital, cloud services and mobile financial services domains. The candidate will be instrumental in aligning architectural frameworks with evolving telecom/fintech/cloud industry trends, ensuring robust, scalable, and future-ready solutions. By leading the architecture team, this position directly impacts the organization’s ability to innovate and maintain a competitive edge through advanced technologies such as cloud computing, 5G, AI, and IoT. The role also emphasizes ensuring information security, regulatory compliance and governance, as well as integrating transformative technologies across the ATOM ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership & Team Management
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of architects, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.
- Set clear objectives and performance metrics for the architecture team and conduct regular performance evaluations.
Architectural Strategy & Governance
- Define and implement the architectural vision and strategy for the Design and Delivery division.
- Establish architectural governance processes to ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices.
Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement
- Work closely with business analysts, QA, and project management teams to ensure architectural alignment with project requirements.
- Engage with key stakeholders to communicate architectural decisions and gain buy-in for proposed solutions.
Design & Implementation
- Oversee the design and development of scalable, secure, and efficient architectural solutions for telecom IT applications.
- Evaluate emerging technologies and industry trends to inform architectural decisions and recommend innovative solutions.
- Lead transformation programs (Telecom) with complex architectures and designs.
Quality Assurance
- Conduct architectural reviews and audits to ensure adherence to established guidelines and standards.
- Monitor and assess the performance of implemented architectures and recommend improvements as necessary.
