The Myanmar Employer Awards (powered by JobNet Myanmar) congratulates Myanmar Brewery for being a 2020 Local Gold Winner for Best CSR For Community Engagement.
Myanmar Brewery was established on March 29, 1995 as one of the earliest major joint-venture projects in Myanmar, with more than 1300 employees all over the country, considered at present as one of the biggest and best-run foreign-invested companies regionally, jointly owned by KIRIN and Myanmar Economic Holdings Ltd. The company produces market-leading beer brands like Andaman Gold and Black Shield Stout, Kirin Ichiban, MyanmarPremium and Myanmar Beers which reflect the strong local values of Myanmar people and the rising aspirations and sense of belonging to the country, becoming one of the symbols Myanmar is proud of. With the mission goal for the society “Taking Myanmar Society Higher”, Myanmar Brewery is dedicated to creating economic and social values, through advanced CSR activities including running a special CSR program Myanmar Care, supporting Health, Sport, Education, Disaster Response areas. The operations are led-implemented by an entire department Creating Shared Value Department, looking for areas to be able to benefit sustainable development for the society of Myanmar and the region.
The Best CSR For Community Engagement recognizes organizations who demonstrate and highlight their corporate social responsibility objectives, strategies/programs and outcomes relating to community engagement as well as their impact on employee engagement. Furthermore, companies must point out how the organization relates its CSR strategy to its overall corporate agenda and exemplifies its values.
