A Great Opportunity for ...

An exciting Deputy General Manager role has been made available in a Retail group in Yangon, Myanmar. The Deputy General Manager will report directly to the Senior Vice President of Retail and will be responsible for growing one of the international brands.

The dynamic Deputy General Manager will be responsible for managing and growing the business of the brand assigned to.

- Take full operational and P&L responsibility for the brand.
- Achieve the financial budget set by management by maximizing revenue, minimizing cost and increasing productivity.
- Translate brand strategies into plans, marketing, promotion and achieve the ultimate sales Budget.
- Accomplish human resource objectives with effective people leadership which includes optimal manpower planning and development for our fully owned retail outlets and outdoor sales.
- Develop, recommend and advise the management on any areas of improvement in processes and strategies.
- Monitor system and process to ensure that resources are used effectively; this includes minimizing wastage.
- Be proactive and resourceful in the analysis of market trends, changing needs and expectation of customers in terms of customer service experience.
- Nurture an environment where employees have the opportunity to develop personally and professionally, and to value add to the organization.

Sales
- Create and develop a Sales team culture that supports the Company’s vision and values.
- Coach the indoor sales team and get the best from everyone
- Monitor and coach appointed Retailers (out of Yangon) to work effectively to increase sales accounts and monitor sales performance of retailers.
- Monitor product distribution and consumer reactions to ensure continuous sales growth.
- Effectively develop good relationship with retailers and new accounts within Myanmar.
- Be an excellent listener and communicator and respond to retailers’ and customers issues.

Marketing
- Formulate and implement marketing strategies that target revenue growth with Marketing Manager.
- Monitor the report performance of all marketing campaigns, and assess against goals (ROI and KPIs).
- Oversee marketing and advertising activities to ensure consistency with product line strategy.

Merchandise
- Work closely with the Merchandising Manager on new orders and replenishment.
- Ensure healthy stock holding.
- Ensure timely key products replenishment.
- Continuous monitoring of product pricing and analyses the potential profitability.

Operations
- Ability to manage and accurate control the stock in the warehouse
- Ability to build and manage an infrastructure of deliveries to various part of Myanmar

Job Requirements

- Experience as a brand manager with the desire to be a Deputy General Manager
- Drive for results and leaderships skills.
- Excellent understanding of the full marketing mix
-Creative with ability to think out of box.
-Experience in identifying target audiences and devising campaigns with a goal to increase or generate sales.
-Be able to work well with a wide range of people from different parts of the business.
-Be a team leader, able to inspire others.
-Be able to manage different projects at the same time.
-Be organized and methodical.
-Be able to work well in a fast-paced and under pressure.
-Good communication and presentation skills.
-Detail oriented and well-composed individual.
-Up-to-date with latest trends and marketing best practices.
-Comfortable working with numbers, metrics and spreadsheets.
-Good command of the English language.

Education and Experience
-A Bachelor’s degree, Business Management , Retail Management
-A seasoned professional with above 5 years experience.
-Experience managing a staff.
-Experience and knowledge of software system is desirable

Skills and Qualifications
-Strong communications skills and the ability to influence, negotiate and lead a group of employees and Brand
-Strong leadership skills as well as the ability to prioritize and remain fluid
-Ability to work as a team player.
-Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
