• Develop strong links to local community and support organizations to develop a net work of contract farmers.
• Develop contractual arrangements with farmer groups based on seed production plans. This will require liaison with other private and public organizations, inside and outside of company, to ensure price production targets are realistic and achievable.
• Ensure contractual arrangements with farmer groups are followed and that seed production is in accordance with seed quality standards.
• Be responsible to develop and mentor a team of seed production professionals that are collectively focused on meeting volume and quality targets.
• Manage and monitor the performance of field staff that manage elite seed growers and R7D farm staff.
• Fiscal responsibility over RS and CS production. This will extend to ensure that inputs are available to meet the seed production demand.
• In coordination with marketing and certified seed sales forecasts, develop RS and CS production plans and present to management for approval.
• Be responsible to implement technical guidance to support contract farmers and field staff of Company.
• Introduce improved farming practices to farmers as well as supports the introduction and development of new crops and/or varieties.
• Effectively work with individual farmers, farmer groups, cooperatives. In particular, develop strategy’s to effectively work with farmer cooperatives.

• Male or Female, Myanmar national preferred
• BS or MS level in agriculture (marketing, breeding, plant science, agronomy, or related field)
• At least 5 years field experience in Marketing, Sales Promotion, or R&D, with proven agronomy experience in managing field trials and demonstrations
• Detail oriented with strong planning and analytical skills
• Understanding of both marketing and R&D
• Proven people management and teamwork skills
• Good communication and interpersonal skills in English (speaking, writing and reading) and Myanmar.
• Good computer skills, including MS Word, Excel and email
• Ability to travel throughout Myanmar, with occasional travel in Asian region
• Ability to drive; valid driver’s license; good driving record
