General Purpose of the Position This position intends to assist lead Chef in both culinary and administrative tasks while communicating with assistance Chef and operation manager.- Maintain standard quality food services and customer satisfaction. - Create schedules for kitchen staff to ensure optimum resources management and speed of service.- Train new existing kitchen staff on the preparation, arrangement and plating of dishes per the current menu.- Ensure all staff members adhere to culinary standards and regulations.- Respond to external and internal customer inquiries and concerns personally.- Design promotion menu and new menu choices based on seasonal ingredients and customer demand.- Track, record and replenish inventory as needed.- Cross-train kitchen staff on multiple stations.- Assist lead chef with pricing menu items.- Maintain kitchen cleanliness according to FSMS guideline.- Research new developments in international cuisine and apply knowledge.
Education / Qualifications - Matriculation Level- Minimum 3 years of Global experience in Food, Beverages and hotel environment- Background of international hotel or Culinary/hotel school Knowledge - Good communication in English- Food Competition Knowledge Experience - Strong experience of kitchen Management and restaurant starting up experience preferred - 3+ years culinary experience in high-volume, full service restaurant as Sous ChefSkills and personal qualities - Experience preparing international cuisine - Knowledge best practice for training kitchen staffs and implementing kitchen procedure - High level of creativity and reliability- Flexible schedule required- Familiarity with menu costing procedure- Basic computer skill- Good at interrelationship E – Essential D – Desirable
