Job Purpose

 

The Specialist, Digital Service Operations (VAS) will be responsible for the operational support, monitoring, and maintenance of Telecom Value-Added Services (VAS) platforms such as SMSC, USSD, MCA, CRBT, SDP and other messaging services. This role requires a strong understanding of VAS technologies and operational processes.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor the health and performance of VAS platforms and services.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve operational issues related to VAS delivery.
  • Coordinate with network and engineering teams to ensure service availability and stability.
  • Manage service configurations and parameters for VAS platforms.
  • Implement and support new VAS offerings and enhancements.
  • Develop and maintain operational procedures and documentation for VAS.
  • Collaborate with commercial teams on VAS-related initiatives.
  • Reviewing with support team to ensure that all support tasks and deliverables meet quality and service levels
  • Translate technical requirements into system, application, and process designs identifying functional requirements and lead the product deliveries
  • Proactively identify opportunities for further expansion or improvement of services delivered
  •  Lead and mentor development teams from different locations
  • Take ownership of the solution and systems in end to end
  • Knowledge of Digital Services, Gaming and App Development or Past Experiences
  • Evaluate the vendor’s performance and guide on the team
  • Lead, plan and migrate the system or stabilize the operations.

Job Requirements

Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, or a related field.

Experience

  • 6+ years of experience in software development and team leadership.

Key Skillsets (3 - 5 skillsets)

  • Deliver all IT platform requirements and associated eco-system to meet current and future business requirements.
  • Supporting deployment, product change and go-live activities success (this will involve regular participation in non-business hours operation).
  • Strong analytical capabilities with critical thinking, problem solving, and project management skills
  • Meets quality of delivery. 
  • Problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills.
  • Well in communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with diverse teams.
