Job Summary

The Assembly Engineer is responsible for managing and improving EV vehicle assembly processes to ensure vehicles are assembled safely, efficiently, and according to engineering specifications and quality standards.

  • Supervise and support the assembly of EV vehicles according to technical drawings, work instructions, and standard operating procedures.
  • Monitor assembly processes for mechanical, electrical, and EV-specific components.
  • Ensure correct installation and fitting of vehicle components, wiring, connectors, battery-related components, motors, controllers, and other systems.
  • Support production teams in resolving assembly-related technical problems.
  • Identify and troubleshoot assembly defects and technical issues during production.
  • Coordinate with relevant departments to implement corrective and preventive actions.
  • Maintain assembly records, technical reports, defect reports, and production documentation.
  • Prepare daily/weekly reports on assembly performance and technical issues.
  • Document troubleshooting activities and corrective actions.
  • Maintain accurate records of engineering changes and process improvements.
  • Work closely with Production, Quality Control, Testing, Maintenance, Supply Chain, and R&D/Technical teams.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field.
  • Automotive or EV-related technical qualifications will be an advantage.
  • Minimum 2–4 years of experience in automotive assembly, vehicle production, manufacturing, mechanical/electrical assembly, or a related engineering environment.
  • Experience with EV vehicles or EV components is highly preferred.
  • Good understanding of automotive mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Knowledge of quality control and manufacturing processes.
  • Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong technical problem-solving ability.
