  • Lead all phases of audit engagement, from planning and scoping to field work and reporting.
  • Allocate resources, manage audit budgets and ensure projects are completed on schedule.
  • Ensure audits are performed in accordance with applicable professional standards. (e.g. IIA Standards for internal audit, GAAS/ISA for external audit.)
  • Evaluate the design and effectiveness of internal controls over financial reporting, operational processes, and compliance.
  • Prepare and present clear, concise, and impactful audit reports to senior management and the Audit committee.
  • Manage follow-up activities to ensure management actions have been effectively implemented.
  • Identity and assess key financial, operational and compliance risks across the organization.
  • Advise management on risk mitigation strategies and process improvements.
  • Build strong, collaborative relationships with business unit leaders to serve as a trusted advisor on control and risk matters.
  • Mentor, coach, and develop the skills of the audit team.

Job Requirements

  • Minimum bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance Business Administration or a related field.
  • Preferred: Master’s degree in accounting business administration (MBA), or a related field is often highly desirable.
  • Professional certifications such as CPA, ACCA, or CPA (Myanmar) are highly desirable; CPA license is required for signing audit reports.
  • Professional auditor with 5–8 years of experience, including 2–3 years in a team management role.
  • Proven experience in planning and executing complex audit engagements from start to finish.
