JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking an Automotive Service Manager whose responsibility is to oversee the service department of an automotive repair workshop and ensure efficient operations, excellent customer service, and the delivery of high-quality automotive services to customers.

 

DUTIES AND RESPOSIBILITIES OF AUTOMOTIVE DEALERSHIP MANAGER

 

Service Operations & Team Management

  • Oversee all aspects of service department operations, including vehicle diagnostics, repairs, maintenance, and inspections
  • Supervise and lead a team of skilled technicians and service advisors
  • Implement efficient workflow processes and optimize resource utilization
  • Implement and enforce safety procedures and regulations within the service department
  • Assign work orders, schedule appointments, and manage workflow to optimize productivity and efficiency
  • Provide training, guidance, and performance feedback to service department staff
  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of service advisors, technicians, and support staff
  • Monitor and analyze key performance indicators to achieve departmental goals
  • Collaborate with other departments to enhance overall dealership performance

Inventory and Parts Management:

  • Manage inventory levels of parts and supplies to support service operations
  • Coordinate with parts department to ensure timely availability of required parts and accessories
  • Monitor parts usage, inventory turnover, and obsolescence to minimize waste and optimize profitability

Customer relations

  • Interact with customers to understand their automotive service needs and address any concerns or questions
  • Address customer inquiries, complaints, and issues in a timely and professional manner
  • Ensure exceptional customer service by resolving issues promptly and maintaining open communication throughout the service process
  • Handle escalated customer complaints and ensure satisfactory resolution.
  • Resolve collision & service matters

 

Financial Management

  • Develop and manage the service department budget, including labor, parts, and overhead expenses
  • Monitoring the performance metrics (such as revenue, profitability, and customer satisfaction, and take corrective actions as needed.)
  • Identify opportunities for upselling services and generating additional revenue to optimize financial performance
  • Review financial reports

Compliance and regulations

  • Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations and industry standards
  • Stay updated on changes in regulations and implement necessary changes to dealership/ sales operations
  • Conduct regular audits to ensure adherence to compliance requirements

Reporting

  • Daily, monthly and yearly report export to Management
  • Mid-month/ End Month Report to Management

  • Bachelor degree in Mechanical or automotive related field
  • Proven experience in automotives repair service, with at least 5 years in managerial role
