Key Responsibilities of Business Development Strategist
- The Corporate Planning Department is a department that is saddled with the responsibilities of governing, strategizing, monitoring and evaluation of all functional areas related to the activities of GGINL.
- It is also responsible for conducting market research, ensuring the overall co- ordination of the research outcomes, initiating cross functional collaborations, overseeing the company’s strategic goals and attainment, as well as governing the organization as a whole.
Key Purpose of the Job
- The role of Business Development Strategist is to ensure that all business development needs are effectively communicated and adhered to throughout the organization.
- This role operates as part of the Corporate Planning Team and works closely with the CEO, CFO, and Head of the Corporate Planning Department to support strategic business initiatives and long-term organizational growth.
Key Responsibilities
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
• Foster strong working relationships across departments, ensuring alignment on business objectives, addressing and resolving issues to strengthen interdepartmental collaborative initiatives.
Business Planning Assistance:
• Assist CFO/ Head of Corporate Planning and contribute in the development and execution of mid- and short-term business plans/ strategies by providing insights, and identifying growth opportunities.
Corporate Governance:
• Facilitate shareholder communication and manage BOD meetings, ensuring agenda aligns with strategic objectives and key items for decision-making.
• Lead and coordinate committee meetings, ensuring effective participation and accountability from all members. Track the outcomes of committee decisions and ensure timely resolution of action items.
• Ensure accuracy and thoroughness in meeting materials, maintain accurate minutes, document key resolutions, and track the timely completion of action items, sharing updates prior to the next meeting.
Stakeholder Engagement:
• Engage with key stakeholders, including internal teams and external partners, to understand diverse perspectives.
• Act as a bridge to mediate discussions, negotiate compromises, and develop mutually beneficial solutions to foster collaboration and shared objectives.
Performance Monitoring:
• Monitor and evaluate business performance metrics, such as Company KPIs to assess the effectiveness of business strategies, including tracking the success of development initiatives and adjust strategies as necessary.
Executive Support:
• Work directly with C-level executives on special projects, providing support and insights to relevant stakeholders.
• Provide comprehensive support to executives, including preparing presentations, coordinating meetings, and assisting with strategic initiatives as needed. Market Research

• Analyze industry trends (demographics, regulatory changes, competitor strategies
