Job Description

A Good Opportunity for ..

Manage the day-to-day finance and accounting functions.
•    Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports.
•    Ensure accuracy and completeness of the general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and other accounting records.
•    Analyze financial performance against budget, prior periods, and business targets.
•    Provide management with financial analysis and recommendations for business decisions.
•    Establish and maintain appropriate accounting policies and procedures.
•    Lead the annual budgeting and forecasting process.
•    Prepare budgets for manufacturing, distribution, operating expenses, capital expenditure, and working capital.
•    Monitor actual performance against budget and investigate significant variances.
•    Prepare rolling forecasts and cash-flow projections.

Support management in evaluating new investments, projects, and business opportunities.
•    Manage daily cash-flow requirements and working capital.
•    Prepare short-term and long-term cash-flow forecasts.
•    Monitor bank balances, payments, collections, and funding requirements.
•    Maintain relationships with banks and financial institutions.
•    Ensure sufficient liquidity for payroll, suppliers, taxes, production, and other operating requirements.
•    Monitor foreign-currency transactions and exposures where applicable.
•    Oversee customer invoicing, collections, and receivables.
•    Monitor customer credit limits and payment terms.

Review overdue accounts and coordinate collection activities.
•    Prepare aged receivables reports and provide regular updates to management.
•    Work with the Sales and Distribution teams to control customer credit risk.
•    Oversee supplier invoices, payment processing, and vendor reconciliations.
•    Ensure payments are properly authorized and supported by appropriate documentation.
•    Monitor supplier balances and payment schedules.
•    Coordinate with Procurement and Operations to ensure proper purchase-to-payment controls.

Identify opportunities to improve payment processes and working capital.
•    Oversee accounting for raw materials, work-in-progress, finished goods, and production costs.
•    Monitor manufacturing costs, including:
•    Calculate and monitor product costs and margins.
•    Analyze production variances and investigate unusual cost movements.
•    Support the preparation and review of standard costs where applicable.
•    Work with Production and Operations teams to improve cost control and operational efficiency.
•    Monitor inventory valuation and accounting.
•    Review inventory movements, stock adjustments, write-offs, and provisions.
•    Coordinate with Warehouse and Operations teams on regular stock counts and reconciliations.
•    Investigate inventory variances and identify potential control weaknesses.
•    Analyze inventory turnover, slow-moving stock, obsolete inventory, and working capital.
•    Monitor distribution costs, logistics expenses, and delivery-related costs.

Ensure timely and accurate preparation and submission of applicable tax returns and statutory reports.
•    Monitor tax liabilities and payment deadlines.
•    Coordinate with tax authorities, auditors, and external advisors when required.
•    Maintain appropriate documentation to support tax filings and financial transactions.
•    Keep management informed of significant changes in applicable tax and accounting requirements.
•    Establish and maintain effective financial controls.
•    Review segregation of duties and authorization procedures.
•    Identify financial and operational risks and recommend appropriate controls.
•    Monitor compliance with company policies and procedures.
•    Investigate unusual transactions, discrepancies, or potential control issues.

Support internal and external audit processes.
•    Coordinate annual external audits and other financial reviews.
•    Prepare audit schedules and supporting documentation.
•    Respond to auditor queries and follow up on audit findings.
•    Ensure agreed corrective actions are implemented.
•    Maintain proper financial records and documentation.
•    Lead, supervise, and develop the Finance & Accounting team.
•    Allocate responsibilities and monitor team performance.
•    Establish clear accounting procedures and reporting deadlines.
•    Train team members on accounting processes, systems, and internal controls.
•    Conduct performance reviews and provide coaching and development opportunities.
•    Work closely with Sales, Procurement, Warehouse, Production, Logistics, HR, and senior management.
•    Provide financial analysis to support operational decision-making.
•    Explain financial results and business drivers to non-finance stakeholders.

•    Identify opportunities for cost reduction, profitability improvement, and working-capital optimization.
•    Support and assist to other necessary for financial assistant to MD.

Job Requirements

    Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
    Professional accounting qualification such as ACCA, CPA or equivalent is preferred.
    Strong knowledge of financial and management accounting.
    Knowledge of manufacturing and distribution accounting is highly desirable.
    Typically, 10 years of relevant finance/accounting experience, with at least 10 years in a management position.
    Experience in a manufacturing, distribution, trading, FMCG, wholesale, or similar business environment.
    Experience with inventory accounting, product costing, budgeting, cash-flow management, and financial reporting.
    Experience managing audits and tax compliance.
    Experience using ERP/accounting systems is required.
