Job Description

An Exciting Opportunity for ...

1.  Product development

  • Assist in developing and testing food products (e.g., formulations, recipes, and prototypes).
  • Prepare samples and follow test protocols for sensory, chemical, and physical properties.
  • Check the quality, color, texture, flavor, and appearance of food products.
  • Record and report trial results and assist in making improvements.
  • Maintain proper documentation of formulations and test results.

2.  Support: lab team

  • Support the food application team and customer request (e.g., formulations, prototype samples).
  • Clean the lab and food processing area daily, including:

–   Washing utensils, glassware, and equipment (mixers, blenders, ovens, etc.).

–   Sanitizing work benches and surfaces.

–   Properly disposing of food waste and chemicals.

  • Perform routine equipment cleaning, calibration (if applicable), and maintenance.
  • Assist in preparing, weighing, and labeling raw materials and ingredients.
  • Keep all equipment and supplies organized and in good condition.

3.  Documentation

  • Write daily and monthly reports of activities, test results, and product trials.
  • Maintain accurate records of prototype sample preparation and test data.
  • Update formulation sheets and product development logs.

4.  Reporting & Communication

  • Report to the supervisor (Food Application) on daily progress.
  • Communicate any issues, deviations, or improvements to the supervisor.
  • Work with other departments (production, sales, BO) as required.

5.  Other required tasks according to the assignment

  • Assist in sensory evaluation, consumer testing and customer training (e.g., taste panels).
  • Help with pilot-scale production and product trials when needed.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned by the supervisor.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor in Science (B. Pharma, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry or Chemist Background)
  • English communication is a must in reading, writing and speaking
  • Strong interpersonal skill
  • Good command in English
  • Well organized
  • Microsoft Office
