• Drives sales of Fresh Food area; fully responsible for department profit and loss, margin, shrinkage management and budgeted costs
• Ensures the freshness and quality of all fresh merchandise, including monitoring of sell-by date and proper FIFO rotation of related stock
• Ensures a pleasant shopping experience for all customers; responds to customer complaints or inquiries and solicits customer feedback and input; creates customer satisfaction by building relationships and teaching staff to make eye contact when greeting customers or accompanying customers to the specific location of a requested item
• Retention and expansion of customer base through service level
• Responsible for department layouts and merchandising standards, ensuring product is displayed according to the 6 Rights +1 merchandising philosophy by continuous teaching
• Ensures execution of established safety, security, quality, and Fresh operations policies and procedures
• Ensures staff knowledge to clearly present the specifications of Own Brand products to customers
• Maintains high standard of health and safety in all departments by ensuring safety of all employees and customers – safety equipment and protective safety wear should be utilized at all times and departments safe from potential accidents; ensure that no spill is ever left unattended
• Analyzes fresh department results and trends and prepares action plans to leverage the store’s fresh food strengths and address areas of opportunity

• Bachelor's degree (in Food Science, Food Technology, Agriculture, or Hospitality) is preferable

  Leadership of minimum of 4 years of experience as Fresh Food Department in a reputable supermarket, food service, or relevant

• Ability to work under pressure
• According to the nature of business and requirement of the job, you will need to do shift rotation.
