Job Description

A Good Opportunity for ..

Provide executive oversight for a portfolio of solar projects. Define project execution strategies, milestones, and deliverables aligned with corporate goals.
Manage multi-million-dollar project portfolios. Profit and Loss (P&L) responsibility for assigned projects, including cost control, cash flow forecasting, and variance analysis.
Lead the selection, negotiation, and management of Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) contractors, equipment suppliers (inverters, modules, trackers), and consultants.
Serve as the primary liaison with government bodies, utilities (for grid interconnection), local communities, and project investors. Ensure all permits, licenses, and environmental clearances are secured.
Proactively identify, assess, and mitigate project risks (e.g., supply chain disruptions, regulatory changes, weather delays) to minimize financial and timeline impacts.
Enforce a zero-harm culture. Ensure strict adherence to Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) standards and rigorous quality assurance/quality control (QA/QC) protocols.
Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing cross-functional team of project managers, engineers, and site supervisors.
Develop and implement administrative policies and procedures for solar projects.
Oversee project documentation, correspondence, and records management.
Coordinate with project managers and site teams to support project execution.
Monitor contract compliance and obligations.
Manage contract variations, claims, extensions of time, and disputes.
Ensure all required permits, licenses, and approvals are obtained.
Maintain effective communication with clients, consultants, contractors, and government officials.
Resolve administrative issues affecting project progress.
Promote a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
Prepare monthly management reports.
Track project milestones and administrative deliverables.
Ensure timely submission of reports to top management

Job Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical, Civil, or Mechanical) or a related technical field.
Master in Business Administration (MBA) or Master in Project Management preferred. Project Management or equivalent certification is highly desirable.
Minimum of 12–15 years of experience in infrastructure or power project management. At least 7 - 10 years of direct experience in a leadership role managing utility-scale solar energy projects (typically 50MW+ capacity) or distribution system. 
Proven track record of successfully commissioning solar plants from greenfield/brownfield stages to grid synchronization.
Willingness to travel frequently to remote project sites or stay at project site for inspections, stakeholder meetings, and progress reviews.
Age 35 years & above.
