The position is responsible for developing and executing the business growth strategy of the Fortune Fund Myanmar Company Limited (FFMCL) by driving customer acquisition, channel management, increase quality loan and savings portfolios, strategic partnerships, and enhancing service delivery across all business channels. The role oversees branch operations from a business perspective, partnership development, digital channel adoptions, manages high-performing channel teams, to ensure sustainable growth of portfolio with quality, and financial inclusion,

The incumbent will develop strategies to expand outreach to underserved communities while maintaining strong risk awareness, operational efficiency, customer satisfaction, and regulatory compliance.

 

PRINCIPLE DUTIES/ RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead and execute FFMCL’s business strategy to drive sustainable growth, market expansion, and financial inclusion
  • Identify new business opportunities, customer segments, products, and geographic markets to expand outreach
  • Oversee distribution channels including branches, sales teams, digital platforms, and strategic partnerships
  • Drive achievement of loan disbursement, customer acquisition, savings mobilization, and revenue targets
  • Ensure sustainable portfolio growth while maintaining strong quality (PAR, delinquency, write-offs, recovery)
  • Monitor KPIs, branch performance, and staff productivity; implement corrective and performance improvement actions
  • Develop and execute sales strategies, customer acquisition initiatives, and cross-selling activities
  • Enhance customer experience and service delivery across all business channels
  • Build, lead, and develop high-performing teams with a strong performance-driven and customer-centric culture
  • Establish and maintain relationships with regulators, partners, and key stakeholders; represent the organization externally
  • Oversee financial performance, budgeting, cost efficiency, and effective resource allocation
  • Ensure full compliance with regulatory requirements, internal policies, and responsible finance principles

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree with 10+ years of management-level experience in banking or microfinance, with strong knowledge of microfinance operations, business management, and team leadership.
  • Master’s degree in MBA, Finance, Business Management, or equivalent is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of regulatory compliance relevant to business operations.
  • Proven expertise in business strategy, microfinance operations, branch network management, sales, business development, market development, and channel management.
  • Good understanding of digital financial services, credit portfolio management, financial analysis, budgeting, performance management, and data analysis, including data modelling and validation tools.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong general management and leadership capabilities, with strategic thinking, commercial acumen, customer focus, and the ability to perform in a performance-driven environment.
  • Excellent communication, reporting, presentation, negotiation, influencing, decision-making, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proven ability in team leadership, coaching, change management, and problem-solving.
  • Results-oriented with strong integrity, accountability, and ethical leadership.
  • Innovative, collaborative, adaptable, and resilient, with a strong commitment to financial inclusion.
  • Willingness to undertake frequent travel and regular field visits to branches and operational areas to monitor business performance and engage with customers, employees, and partners.
