General Purpose of the Position Responsible for delivering the operational objectives and processes of the HR functions under the direction of the HR Team Leader; meeting the business needs of the organisation and its employees, and handling confidential and sensitive matters in a professional manner at all times.
Main Accountabilities
- Accurately prepare and input payroll data into the HRIS to include starters, leavers and amendments.
- Administer and calculate monthly staff salary, overtime, leave without pay, sick pay, loan, insurance, income tax, SSB and other such adjustments. Liaise with staff covering HR responsibilities at remote sites, as relevant.
- Assist the HR Manager in the collection and compiling of salary benchmarking and salary survey data.
- Update payroll procress SOP and FPD, make and support departmental KPI.
- Support the HR Manager with the annual pay review and bonus process across the business.
- Support in projects related to the development and maintenance of the HRIS.
- Support the HR Team Leader in producing monthly HR metrics and other management information as requested.
- Support the coordination and interaction with government and other regulatory agencies on issues related to employee salaries and mandatory
deductions.
- Provide efficient customer service to all employees by resolving payroll and HRIS queries in a timely manner and making referrals or escalating
matters as necessary.
- Maintain accurate payroll and employee records on the HRIS and prepare reports (including monthly leave without pay reports) as requested.
- Liaise with staff covering HR responsibilities at remote sites to ensure processing and receipt of payroll information in a timely manner.
- Support with the timely printing (where relevant) and distribution of payslips to all staff.

Job Requirements

Education / Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, relevant HR work experience
- Diploma or similar qualification in HR/Personnel Management
Knowledge
- Working knowledge and understanding of best practice HR processes and operations around Remuneration, Benefits and HRIS; including knowledge of payroll laws and regulations
Experience
- Proven operational experience in an HR role focusing on Remuneration, Benefits and/or HRIS
Skills and personal qualities
- Effective written and verbal communication skills in Myanmar (advanced level) and English (intermediate level)
- Self-motivated with a drive to continuously improve, develop and enhance performance and own skill set
- Integrity and the ability to handle confidential and sensitive information
- Ability to produce high quality work with accuracy and strong attention to detail
- Client-focused with strong customer service and can-do attitudes
- Ability to be flexible, adaptable and quick to learn new ideas, concepts and processes
- Approachable and personable nature with the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders within and outside the organisation
- Ability to work under pressure and efficiently when faced with tight deadlines
- Strong Microsoft Office Skills (in particular MS Excel)
