The HR Officer is responsible for managing and executing payroll processes, ensuring accurate income tax calculation and compliance with labor laws. This role also involves supervising daily HR functions, including employee attendance, leave management, and supporting the recruitment and selection process. The HR Officer will work closely with management to ensure efficient HR operations and contribute to a positive workplace environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and process monthly payroll accurately and on time.

  • Calculate and manage income tax deductions in compliance with government regulations.

  • Maintain and update employee records, attendance, and leave data.

  • Supervise the day-to-day HR operations to ensure smooth functioning of HR activities.

  • Coordinate and manage the recruitment process, including job posting, screening, interviews, and selection.

  • Assist in onboarding new employees and maintaining proper documentation.

  • Support management in implementing HR policies and procedures.

  • Handle employee queries regarding salary, benefits, and HR policies.

  • Prepare regular HR and payroll reports for management review.

  • Ensure compliance with labor laws, taxation, and company regulations.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, Accounting, or a related field.
  • Minimum 2–3 years of experience in HR and payroll functions.
  • Experience in income tax calculation and compliance is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of Myanmar labor laws, income tax, and payroll regulations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and HR/payroll software.
  • Good understanding of HR processes such as recruitment, selection, and performance management.
  • Strong analytical and numerical skills.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • High attention to detail and confidentiality in handling employee data.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
