ROLE PURPOSE  

The Enterprise Risk Officer will support Managers in overseeing and managing the bank’s risk monitoring. This role requires a keen eye for detail, analytical skills, and the ability to collaborate with multiple stakeholders to ensure conclusive and accurate reports are delivered on time and in accordance with organizational objectives and supporting the risk governance culture aspirations through the Bank’s Risk Management Framework. 

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES  

• Demonstrate an understanding of risk assessment through analysis and strategic questioning. 

• Monitor the Bank's risk appetite status, proactively identifying breaches, and coordinating the development of treatment plans. 

• Conduct trend analysis, scenario planning and stress testing related to Liquidity Risk and Market Risk. 

• Gather data from various sources, process information, and generate reports with accurate and timely information for various risk monitoring and reporting. 

• Work towards automating reporting tasks to improve efficiency and accuracy in generating reports, allowing for timely delivery to stakeholders. 

• Clearly communicate with internal stakeholders and address any queries to gather necessary data and information for monitoring and reporting. 

• Assist in developing policy guidelines governing risk monitoring processes, and the review of risk appetite statement. 

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

Education & Special Training  

• Bachelor’s or equivalent degree in Accounting, Finance, Risk Management, Economics, or related field (or) recognized risk certification 

Experience 

• Experience in banking and other financial services industry 
• Previous experience in data analysis/reporting in Risk or related field 

Knowledge & Skills  

• Passionate and willingness to continuous learning and development 

• Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills who is good with numbers 

• Good interpersonal and teamwork skills 

• Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint 

• A working level understanding of the Power BI tools 

Languages 

• Good interpersonal and communication skills in Myanmar and English, both verbal and written
