Job Description

Cost Estimation & Bill of Quantities Management

  1. Assist the QS Manager in the preparation of detailed Bills of Quantities (BOQ).
  2. Prepare accurate quantity take-offs from drawings, specifications, and project documentation.
  3. Develop cost estimates and project budgets during tendering and project execution stages.
  4. Conduct quantity verification and measurement of construction works.
  5. Support project teams with cost-related analysis and recommendations.

Tendering & Procurement Support

  1. Prepare and manage Requests for Proposal (RFP), Requests for Quotation (RFQ), Requests for Bid (RFB), and Requests for Information (RFI).
  2. Obtain and evaluate quotations from suppliers, vendors, and subcontractors.
  3. Coordinate with procurement teams regarding material pricing, specifications, and delivery schedules.
  4. Assist in sourcing, qualification, assessment, and evaluation of local and international suppliers and subcontractors.
  5. Support the preparation of purchase orders, purchase contracts, and tender submissions.

Cost Control & Commercial Management

  1. Monitor project budgets and identify potential cost overruns.
  2. Assist in implementing cost-saving measures and safeguarding strategies to protect project profitability.
  3. Conduct cost analysis throughout project implementation phases.
  4. Maintain cost tracking records, reports, and supporting documentation.
  5. Evaluate bids and proposals to ensure cost effectiveness, compliance, and commercial viability.

Contract Administration & Payment Certification

  1. Assist the QS Manager in subcontractor and vendor contract administration.
  2. Support the preparation, review, and maintenance of contractual documentation.
  3. Measure and value completed works for progress payments and milestone claims.
  4. Verify subcontractor payment applications against completed work and contractual terms.
  5. Support project teams in preparing and reviewing final accounts.

Variations & Claims Management

  1. Measure and value variation orders during project execution.
  2. Prepare variation cost assessments and supporting documentation.
  3. Assist in negotiating variation claims with clients, consultants, suppliers, and subcontractors.
  4. Support project teams in contractual claims management and dispute resolution.
  5. Maintain records of variations, claims, and commercial correspondence.

Project Coordination & Documentation

  1. Maintain quantity surveying records, project drawings, reports, and cost databases.
  2. Compile, analyze, and summarize procurement and commercial information.
  3. Coordinate with Project Managers, Design Teams, Procurement Teams, and Site Teams regarding project cost matters.
  4. Support project teams with material specifications, scope clarification, and commercial advice.
  5. Ensure proper filing, document control, and record management of commercial and contractual documents.

Job Requirements

Education
1.    Bachelor's Degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
Experience
2.    Minimum 3-5 years of experience in quantity surveying, cost estimation, tendering, or construction commercial management.
3.    Experience in interior fit-out, construction, architectural, or design-and-build projects is preferred.
4.    Proven experience in BOQ preparation, cost control, procurement support, and contract administration
