Job Description

  • Receive, record and update F&B reservations on a daily basis and ensuring that the restaurants, set-up according to the reservations received.
  • Daily communicate with Restaurant Manager, Supervisor and Captains to get detail information for restaurant reservations, event enquiries, banquets and events.
  • Support and be part of daily briefings and regular training sessions with the F&B staff and creates required documents and supporting materials for it.
  • Ensure that event is properly understood and followed by the team. Follow through that events and banquets are properly and timely set-up and that enough resources are available to ensure a professional service.
  • Keep the F&B department and other relevant department updated and informed of F&B related activities.
  • Attend the meeting and share the meeting minutes to the staff on a daily basis.
  • Report relevant data and F&B related information to the management.
  • Liaise with other departments to solve any Interdepartmental issues that are concerning F&B.
  • Support and provide details to F&B Coordinator materials/equipment for F&B functions (rent tables, chairs, crockery, cutlery, glasses).
  • Recording of daily F&B data such as sales incentives and outlet performance is done correctly and consistently.
  • Follow the established F&B training plan in accordance with the Restaurant Manager and Captains, conduct training sessions and coaching sessions to improve the team’s performance.
  • Conducting professional up-selling and small talk to guests in the restaurant.
  • Ensure that the F&B service is provided according to company standards.
  • Ensures that F&B staff is well groomed, behaving according to the company rules and regulations, conduct their job according to the job descriptions and has the necessary knowledge, language skills and attitude to fulfill their job according to the set expectations.
  • Coach and manages the F&B staff on a daily basis, keeping track of staff performance, misconduct and staff related issues.
  • Ensure that the guests are well taken care of and handles complaints professionally.
  • Provides to Restaurant Manager with F&B related data, such as inventory counts, outlets performance, etc.
  • Handle F&B related communication and administrative works if needed.

Job Requirements

The Assistant Restaurant Manager is the operational support for the Restaurant Manager, since he/she is the link between the Restaurant  Manager, captains and waiters / waitress and guests.

Ensuring that restaurant and bar operation is running smoothly and according to the hotel’s expectations. In close liaison with the captains, he/she proactively anticipates the departmental needs and communicates them effectively throughout the organization chart and to all other relevant parties. He/She must have related experiences and Knowledge. He/She must have good communication and Creative Thinking.
