ROLE PURPOSE

The Senior Associate – Vehicle Valuation Assessment is responsible for ensuring accurate and realistic valuation of vehicle collateral for both personal and commercial loan applications. This role supports sound credit decisions, protects the institution from over-exposure, and enables competitive lending.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Regularly explore to gain knowledge of various kinds of vehicles, manufactures, models, grades and their valuation and preferences in the market.
• Conduct fair and defensible vehicle valuations for new and existing HP loan applications.
• Extract the model year and vehicle details by inputting the Chassis Number if needed.
• Review the vehicle details of HP application case including age, condition, usage, market demand, and depreciation.
• Apply approved valuation methodologies in determining the market benchmarks.
• Identify and flag valuation risks, discrepancies, or potential fraudulent and suspicious HP applications.
• Support Credit, Risk, and Business teams with timely valuation inputs.
• Maintain proper documentation and audit trails.
• Stay updated on vehicle market trends, pricing, and regulatory requirements.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED 

Knowledge & Skills    

• Wide and deep knowledge of various vehicles, market preferences/dislikes, norms of cars/vehicles transactions and pricing strategies of the dealers.
• Review and verification of vehicle documentation (RTA Registration Owner Book, Certificate of Vehicle Registration (Wheel Tax), invoice, insurance, hypothecation).
• Identification of valuation risks, fraud indicators, and over-financing cases.
• Vehicle valuation for cars and commercial vehicles using market benchmarks.
• Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and SLA-driven turnaround.
• Accurate preparation of valuation reports with clear justification. 

Education & Special Training 

• Diploma or bachelor’s degree in finance, Business, Engineering or related fields
• 1–3 years of experience in vehicle valuation, credit, risk, or HP financing (preferred)
• Familiarity with used vehicle markets on various and valuation experience is an advantage.    

Experience

• Experienced in Assessment of vehicle value, vehicle condition, age, and resale potential.
• Market price comparison using dealer quotes.
• Knowledge of hire purchase and auto loan structures, repayment terms, and risk factors.

Languages

• Proficiency in English required
• Strong competency in Myanmar required for Formal Letters, Instructions and Documentations.
