Responsibilities and Duties

• Lead and perform maintenance activities for fiber networks, ODN networks, and backbone infrastructure.
• Diagnose and resolve network faults within the agreed Mean Time to Repair (MTTR).
• Coordinate with Field Engineers and Technicians during emergency restoration activities.
• Perform fiber testing using OTDR and other testing equipment to identify and rectify faults.
• Support customer installation, migration, and service restoration activities.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, outage reports, and corrective actions.
• Google Earth for route planning, network documentation, and infrastructure verification.
• Participate in standby and emergency response activities as required.

Academic and Trade Qualification

• Bachelor's Degree or BE in Telecommunications Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• Certification or training in fiber optic technologies will be an advantage.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word), AutoCAD, and Google Earth.

Work Experience and Skills

• Minimum 3 years of experience in the telecommunications industry.
• Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in fiber network maintenance and field operations.

• Experience in customer fault management and service restoration.
