Job Description

An Excellent Opportunity for ...

  • Analyze and review Myanmar laws/regulations and be able to advise Department General Manager and team members regarding how such laws/regulations will impact the organization business
  • Communicate with government authorities regarding filing processes and submissions - particularly the MIC, DICA, CBM, MOC, stamp duty offices, etc.
  • Review and identify legal issues in contracts and propose wording to ensure legal protections for the Organization
  • Draft contracts and legal documentation for all JO purposes
  • Timely report to management regarding legal tasks and updates upon request
  • Communicate with initiating departments and conduct internal meetings to understand commercial requests and contract requirements
  • Attend and negotiate contracts with third parties to reach favorable contract positions for the Organization
  • Support court cases and hearings as needed; advise management on litigation strategy

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor degree in related field
  • Myanmar qualified lawyer with 3+ years PQE
  • Experience in telecom sector a plus
  • Experience in international companies a plus
  • Understand common legal and commercial concepts
  • Understand common legal clauses and Myanmar laws
  • Fluent or competent in speaking and writing in English; fluent in speaking and writing in Myanmar
  • Understands contract writing in Myanmar; has some experience working with contracts in English
  • Understands normal decorum and practices when dealing with government authorities and senior management
  • Capable with MS Word, Excel, PP, Outlook
