Role Overview:

As a Senior Project Manager, you will play a crucial role in driving the success of our projects by overseeing their planning, execution, and delivery. You will be working with all functions across the organisation - Agile delivery teams, Technology, Finance, Risk & Compliance, external vendors, and senior management to ensure project objectives are delivered on time, within budget and at the required quality. Your exceptional project management skills, experience working on large programs, communication abilities, and positive mindset will enable you to effectively lead teams and deliver high-quality outcomes.
Responsibilities:

1. Project Planning and Execution:

   • Collaborate with Wave leadership and stakeholders to determine project strategy and scope.
   • Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, resource allocation, and dependencies.
   • Ensure alignment with organizational strategic objectives and build optionality based on cost and time.

2. Resources Management:

   • Determine organizational resourcing requirements throughout the project lifecycle.
   • Work with functional teams to plan and commit resources.
   • Continuously monitor and adjust resource allocation for efficient project execution.

3. Portfolio Planning and Alignment:

   • Support the Enterprise PMO team in project selection and prioritization activities.
   • Ensure alignment of project portfolio with the organization's objectives.

4. Team Coordination:

   • Facilitate effective communication and collaboration between delivery and business teams.
   • Coordinate and prioritize activities, providing guidance for seamless project execution.

5. Stakeholder Engagement:

   • Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders.
   • Understand stakeholder needs and manage expectations.
   • Proactively address concerns to ensure customer satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.

6. Risk Management:

   • Identify and proactively manage project risks, issues, and dependencies.
   • Mitigate potential roadblocks and facilitate problem-solving to keep projects on track.

7. Performance Tracking and Reporting:

   • Contribute to establishing and maintaining project metrics.
   • Track progress and provide regular updates to stakeholders.
   • Ensure transparency and visibility into project status, risks, and accomplishments through effective reporting mechanisms.

8. Reporting and Documentation:

   • Prepare comprehensive project reports, including status updates and key metrics.
   • Maintain accurate project documentation for future reference, ensuring accessibility.

Requirements:

Experience:

• Minimum of 6 years of experience in project management, preferably in large complex projects.
• Experience in waterfall project management is essential.
• Prior experience with Agile (Scrum, Kanban) and/or Agile-at-Scale frameworks (e.g., SAFe, LeSS) is highly desirable.
• Proven track record of successfully delivering projects within scope, budget, and timeline.

Project Management Skills:

• Proven track record of successfully delivering software projects using waterfall and Agile methodologies.
• Excellent project planning, resource management, and coordination abilities.
