Job Description

A Good Opportunity for ..

  • Lead and manage Quantity Surveying and commercial activities throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Prepare and review BOQ, quantity take-offs, cost estimates, tender documents, and pricing schedules.
  • Monitor and control project costs, budgets, cash flow, and cost forecasts to ensure projects remain within approved budgets.
  • Evaluate and manage variations, claims, extension of time (EOT), and other contractual matters.
  • Review and certify subcontractor interim payment applications, valuations, and final accounts.
  • Conduct tender analysis, bid evaluation, and commercial comparison for subcontractors and suppliers.
  • Prepare and maintain monthly cost reports, budget vs. actual analysis, cost-to-complete forecasts, and financial projections.
  • Manage contract administration and ensure compliance with contract terms, specifications, and project requirements.
  • Identify potential commercial risks, cost overruns, and opportunities for cost savings, and recommend appropriate actions.
  • Coordinate closely with Project Managers, Site Engineers, Consultants, Architects, subcontractors, and suppliers on commercial and contractual matters.
  • Lead and provide guidance to Junior QS / QS team members and review their work for accuracy.
  • Support management in commercial negotiations, procurement decisions, and project financial control.
  • Prepare and review final accounts and project close-out documentation.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • 6–10 years of relevant Quantity Surveying experience, preferably with experience in building / construction projects.
  • Proven experience in cost control, contract administration, variation, claims, and final account management.
  • Strong knowledge of BOQ preparation, quantity take-off, tendering, valuation, and cost estimation.
  • Experience in subcontractor management, payment certification, and commercial negotiation.
  • Strong understanding of construction contracts and commercial practices.
  • Proficient in MS Office and AutoCAD; QS / Cost Management software knowledge is an advantage.
  • Strong analytical, negotiation, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Able to lead a QS team, work independently, and manage multiple projects.
  • Age: 30–40 years.
