As a high-level executive, the system manager is in charge of technology-related research, development and productivity of business firms. Manage the work of other IT professionals, like developers, systems analysts, data security specialists and end user support specialists, network specialist. Responsible for ensuring that the technology infrastructure is properly designed, tested, implemented and managed on a continuous basis. The responsibilities also include management of a team of specialists and engineers, budgets and planning, ensuring the privacy and confidentiality of business information, maintaining and upgrading software, and ensuring compliance with external regulations and policy controls.

1. Utilize SCCM, Power Shell, Puppet, or other technologies as needed to develop automated methods for expediting deployment and administrative tasks.
2. Automate core system setup tasks using configuration management tools like Puppet.
3. Configure, troubleshoot, and patch Windows virtual hosts.
4. Learn, use, and tune application diagnostic systems.
5. Author architectural documentation and change requests in accordance with organizational policies and best practices.
6. Participate in troubleshooting operational break-fix issues on an emergency basis.
7. Closely collaborate with Linux Systems Engineers for critical issue resolution of Microsoft integrations.
8. Support internal development and engineering teams and subsequent server environments attached to those teams.
9. Mentor other Systems Engineers in supporting Microsoft infrastructure.
10. Administer Windows SCCM environment, Office 365 and other systems tools and services.
11. Create project plans and documentation and services.

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field
• Certifications in the following a plus: MCSE, CCNA, ITIL, change control, and patch management programs.
• 7 years plus hands-on systems engineering in a high-availability, 24x7 Windows environment.
• Expertise with SCCM.
• Experience managing a virtual infrastructure hosted in VMware vSphere.
• Active Directory (including ADFS) and Microsoft Certification Authority experience.
• Office 365 management and configuration.
• Background in managing Windows Server OS; preferably 2008-R2 through 2016.
