About the Role

Magan Limited is a dynamic and growing company in Myanmar’s fire safety and technical services sector, specializing in compressed gases, respiratory protection, firefighting systems, and scuba equipment. We are looking for a proactive and experienced Technical Manager to take full ownership of our technical operations, lead a small but growing service team, and uphold our commitment to international service standards.

This position combines hands-on mechanical expertise, leadership of technical staff, and operational organization. You will be both the engine and the conductor — solving technical issues in the field, while leading your team toward independent, high-quality performance.

Key Responsibilities

Hands-On Technical Leadership

  • Perform mechanical service work as needed to ensure tasks are completed to high standards
  • Supervise inspection, servicing, and repairs of:
    • Firefighting equipment (e.g., extinguishers, SCBAs, regulators)
    • Compressed gas systems (e.g., compressors, pumps, valves)
    • Scuba and breathing apparatus equipment
  • Develop and enforce checklists, SOPs, and quality standards for all technical work
  • Support field servicing, installations, and preventive maintenance

Team Supervision & Development

  • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of two technicians with a focus on accountability and quality
  • Assign and follow up on daily technician tasks without requiring micromanagement
  • Provide coaching and on-the-job training to build technician independence and skill
  • Act as a communication bridge between Myanmar-speaking technicians and English-speaking management

Workshop & Operations Management

  • Maintain a safe, organized, and efficient workshop area
  • Oversee tools, inventory, and service equipment
  • Maintain service documentation, track work orders, and report to management
  • Collaborate with the sales and admin teams to support service scheduling and client communication

Strategy & Growth

  • Develop and implement technical standards and procedures to improve operational efficiency
  • Help recruit and train new technicians as the department grows
  • Contribute to long-term service planning and technical project execution

Participate in international technical training and development opportunities
