ROLE PURPOSE

To support credit underwriting for corporate customers by conducting financial analysis, preparing credit proposals, and ensuring compliance with internal and regulatory guidelines. The role involves working closely with Relationship Managers and Credit Risk teams to facilitate sound credit decisions.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Analyze financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flows) and conduct ratio analysis, benchmarking, and industry analysis.
• Evaluate business models, management quality, market positioning, and repayment capacity.
• Assess creditworthiness of prospective and existing corporate clients.
• Prepare detailed credit appraisal memos for new and renewal proposals, incorporating qualitative and quantitative assessments.
• Recommend appropriate credit structures, pricing, and risk mitigants.
• Ensure completeness and accuracy of documentation for credit committee approvals.
• Ensure adherence to internal credit policy and regulatory guidelines.
• Coordinate with risk and compliance teams for approvals and reporting requirements.
• Support audits and inspections by providing required data and clarifications.
• Liaise with Relationship Managers, legal, operations, and other departments to facilitate credit processing.
• Participate in client meetings for discussions around credit needs and financial performance.

Education & Special Training

Essential

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Banking, Accounting, Economics, or related field.

Desirable

• A Master’s degree or professional certification (e.g. CFA, CPA, FRM, or similar) is highly preferred.

Experience

• Minimum 6-8 years of relevant experience in corporate credit analysis, risk assessment, or relationship management within the banking or financial sector.

• At least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role, leading a team of analysts or credit officers.
