ROLE PURPOSE

Vice President - Program Manager will drive successful planning, execution, and delivery of strategic programs by coordinating cross-functional teams and external partners, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. Lead large-scale programs through strong project management, stakeholder engagement, communication, and delivery capabilities.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Project Planning and Execution

• Collaborate with leadership and cross-functional stakeholders to define project strategy, scope, goals, and deliverables.
• Develop project plans covering timelines, resource requirements, dependencies, and key milestones.
• Evaluate cost and timeline options to support effective project decisions.
• Ensure alignment with organizational strategic objectives.

Resource Management

• Assess resourcing requirements throughout the project lifecycle.
• Partner with functional teams to secure and commit required resources.
• Monitor resource utilization and adjust allocation to support efficient project execution.

Portfolio Planning and Alignment

• Support the PMO in project selection and prioritization activities.
• Assess project priorities against organizational objectives and strategic direction.
• Contribute to portfolio planning and alignment.

Team Leadership and Coordination

• Lead and coordinate cross-functional teams to achieve program objectives.
• Foster collaboration, innovation, continuous improvement, and high performance.
• Facilitate communication, prioritize activities, and provide guidance to delivery teams.
• Adapt to changing priorities and requirements while maintaining delivery momentum.

Stakeholder Management and Engagement

• Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Understand business needs and align expectations throughout the program lifecycle.
• Communicate complex information clearly, concisely, and effectively.
• Proactively address stakeholder concerns, risks, and issues to maintain engagement and satisfaction.

Risk Management

• Identify and proactively manage project risks, issues, and dependencies.
• Develop and implement mitigation actions to minimize potential roadblocks.
• Facilitate timely problem-solving and escalation to keep projects on track.

Performance Tracking and Reporting

• Establish and maintain relevant project performance metrics.
• Monitor progress against key milestones, timelines, and deliverables.
• Provide regular updates on project status, risks, issues, and achievements.
• Ensure transparency and visibility through effective reporting mechanisms.

Reporting and Documentation

• Prepare comprehensive project reports covering status, milestones, key metrics, and risks.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation.
• Ensure project records are accessible and maintained for future reference.

Education & Special Training

Essential

• M Sc. in Computer Science or similar degree.

Desirable

• MBA or related master’s degree is desirable.
• PMP or Prince-2 Certification

Experience

Essential

• Minimum of 6 years of experience in project management, preferably in large complex projects.
• Proven track record of delivering projects on scope, budget, and timeline using Waterfall and Agile methodologies, with strong planning, resource management, and coordination skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify issues, evaluate options, and make informed decisions.

Desirable

• Banking or Financial Industry Domain Experience.
